Montmartre

I began my filmmaking career in France with Montmartre, a satirical look at an artist in Paris. In this scene, the leader of the anarchist party Hughes Dellacroix visits the Place du Tertre to deliver a scathing critique of Marcel's latest work in seemingly contradicting political terms. Marcel (played by Joël Barbouth) responds by offering Hughes a 20% discount. Sadly, I don't recall the name of the man who played Hughes but he was not an actor, merely an acquaintance to whom I gave a bit of coaching before we shot the scene. A great way to begin filmmaking!
